New House, Salhouse
Our clients commissioned us to design a contemporary three bedroom house on a garden plot at Salhouse. They wanted a house that was bright and roomy with the principal rooms overlooking the garden.
The house has been designed as three linked elements. The first, the main body of the house, is two storeys and includes the entrance hall, kitchen/dining room, the bedrooms and bathrooms. The second is a single storey element containing the living room and the third is a staircase link block.
The house is of masonry construction, part fair-faced brickwork and part render, with clay pantiles to the roof. The single storey elements and the first floor area incorporate ‘cathedral’ ceilings.
The ground floor has underfloor heating with radiator heating at first floor.
