3 Houses, Edgefield
This project was carried out for a small local developer. The plot adjoins the public highway both at the front and rear and contained a dilapidated cottage, this subsequently being demolished as it was deemed an unsafe structure.
The development is for two cottage style properties and one traditional house. The dwellings were designed to comply with the design requirements of the local authority, with one of the cottages being of similar size and appearance to the cottage that was demolished.
External walls are of masonry construction utilising red brickwork, rendered walls and cobble panels to match the adjacent properties. The roof tiles are clay pantiles.
Sewage treatment plants and soakaways are incorporated as no mains drainage is available. The houses are finished to a high standard and the site is fully landscaped.
