Extension, Cringleford
Our clients wished to extend their 1970’s home to provide additional accommodation for their growing family. Their vision was to maintain the style and character of the house when viewed from the highway but with a much more modern design for the rear.
To achieve this, the adopted design incorporates traditional brick and block walls and tiled roof to the front elevation, detailed to match the existing. The rear of the extension is predominantly timber framed with western red cedar wall cladding and lead roof covering. Significant areas of glazing are incorporated into the design to produce bright and inviting internal spaces, giving views of the large well-landscaped gardens.
