Our clients wished to build a two storey extension to the front of their house on the east side of Norwich, together with some reorganisation of the existing accommodation.

Following consultation with the planning officer, a design was prepared that reflected the general style of the existing front elevation, in particular reproducing the decorative brickwork to the front wall and the hipped roof detailing.

The construction is traditional masonry cavity walls and the roof covering is plain tiles, all generally to match existing. A precast beam and block floor is utilised to overcome the problems arising from the sloping site.
